Hello and welcome to another Thursday on Cowboy Computer Repair! While I normally talk about taking issues head on, today we will be looking at the benefits of taking your time with decisions.

If you’ve had an email for any amount of time (Which is anyone who finds this blog) you probably have a proverbial mountain of spam emails to sort through every week. While these are usually inane, I want you to pick from one of the more common names in your spam folder and look at the different offers or discounts they’ve sent to you. Go right ahead and look before finishing this article if you’d like, this webpage wont disappear after all.

Examining these, you may have noticed that they offer a wider range of services the more times they contact you. Depending on how far back you went, you may have even noticed that they offer different prices for the same items depending on the time of year. This can be due in part to larger companies using market research to determine what time of year someone is likely to buy a certain item and adjust their prices accordingly. While not everyone can make use of information like this as it does cost money, many storefronts make discounts for different holidays, online or otherwise (Such as mine, if you have yet to look).

Keeping this in mind, if you have your eye on something that is not in limited supply or is needed in a timely manner, waiting might be your best bet. While this can sound obvious to some, it might even surprise those of you who already knew this if you wait long enough. You might even encounter a second hand seller who has what you want at less than half the price!
