Work Hard, Party Hard
If you’ve been following my blog for a while, I’d like to start off by saying THANK YOU VERY MUCH! Secondly, you may have noticed that my entries mainly focus on completing tasks and reaching goals. While that is well and good, you should always have ways to let loose after the job is done. This can be rather difficult for some people, as there’s not exactly an instruction manual on a subject as broad as “fun”.
One decent approach is to find or make a friend circle with interests similar to yours. I know this in itself can be far from easy, though I’d like to offer some direction for this goal. A decent way to find people who not only have certain interests, but actively seek out others with said interests is to consider different hobbies and why someone would engross themselves within them. Someone who enjoys watching sports like hockey or football no doubt loves to see athleticism and skill at play on a grand scale, perhaps this person is interested in fitness and competition, or just the excuse to have beers every week. Even something as “nerdy“ as a table top game with dice rolls has people looking for friend groups, those games need more than one player to work after all. Based on the particular game of that kind you decide to pursue from the wide selection on offer, you can find all sorts of interests. Ranging from history buffs who play in war torn settings, all the way to creatives who enjoy a nice fantasy setting. And with every path you decide to go down, there is undoubtedly an internet forum somewhere that you can find to see if there are people you want to socialize with in your hobby of choice.
Given time, I’m sure you can find your place in the world and have the fun you need after your work day/week, just be sure not to party too hard when you get there.
Thanks for reading and I hope you learned something from my own lesson in life.
