Frightful Weather

This year in Richmond we had snow near the start of November. With how strange the weather has been these past few years I can hardly decide if I am supposed to be surprised or nonplussed by this occurrence. I do however know how to navigate in snow, no matter how deep. This skill came easily to me since I often traveled to the north of Canada as a child. Even removed from this, I feel it is important to be ready and willing to throw yourself at obstacles, no matter how tough, or cold.

This December, I urge everyone reading this to push through whatever obstacle that presents itself to you in life, even if the sky is literally falling on your head. Because if you manage to learn and become adept at managing a barrier most would shy away from, you will gain an invaluable skill for good.

Here in Richmond, we have the added bonus of being surrounded by terrible drivers, some say we’re the worst in the whole country. The man who handed me my first driving insurance papers even said as much! With this in mind I swear to you, if you put yourself out there and truly apply yourself, learning to drive well here would place you amongst the very best on the whole continent. Perhaps that title alone is worth the effort?

Thanks for reading and I hope you learned something from my own lesson in life.
